| The President's Challenge this year is a small one. Make a placemat with at least one tree on it, depicting one of the four seasons; Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter. The mat should be large enough for a dinner place setting and can be any shape. The trunk(s) and branches of the tree(s) must be stitched - pieced, appliqued, or embroidered. The leaves (if any) can be any technique or material you choose. You can add whatever other elements are appropriate for the season being depicted. The finished product must be a usable placemat.
